I have been having trouble closing and creating PDF documents. No matter what, to close anything I have to go up to the "Acrobat" drop-down menu and select "Quit Acrobat." To open anything, I cannot simply double-click a PDF, I have to open the program and navigate to the file I wish to open manually. Also, I cannot combine or create PDFs: it just won't do it.
I reinstalled Acrobat XI Pro after properly uninstalling it. Restarting (and every other common sense attempt at fixing this) hasn't worked, so whatever the problem is, it's not obvious to me. I'm running the most updated version (Adobe Acrobat XI Pro is newer, it's the X version that comes with the Master Collection, not XI like I have). I am running this on my 27" iMac Intel Core i7 Quad-Core 3.4GHz, 16 GB RAM with OS X Mountain Lion (also fully updated).
P.S. the files I am working with are password protected and highly sensitive, if that even changes anything...
