After I updated AVG 2013 Free on March 25, 2013, on computer restart I got the following message: Acrobat Distiller - Unable to create the temporary folder. Error: 5 - Access is denied. This happened once before when installing an AVG 2013 update, around October 2012. It prevents me from using my CanoScan LiDE 200 scanner. The first time this happened my OS was Vista. I tried several things; reinstalled AVG, uninstalled AVG, reinstalled scanner software. One thing that did work was I created another user account but the scanner would only work on that account. However, after a few days my computer started to freeze on start-up. Eventually, I reformatted the hard drive and updated to Windows 7. That worked until now. AVG version - 2013.0.3267; virus db version - 3161/6207. AVG Free is the only virus protection I use; Windows firewall is on. I am pretty sure that installing the latest update for AVG Free caused the problem. I have Acrobat X installed on my computer. Please help if you can.
