A member of this discussion board suggested unembedding duplicate fonts as a way to reduce file size without damaging the file.
When I use Optimizer to examine the file, it offers to allow deleting one of seven fonts in the file. I guessed at first that Optimizer was identifying a duplicate that could be safely deleted. But no, deleting it causes everything in that font to be replaced with a generic font (Adobe Serif MM).
Why does Optimizer show only one font?
