Is it possible to put read out loud controls on the toolbar?

Using the read out loud controls are cumbersome ie:  using the mouse to click view, read out loud, etc.  And the shift, control, whatever letter is convolted to say the least.  What I would like is a simple play/pause, stop button on the toolbar.  Anyone know if this is possible?  It seems every other option is available to put on the toolbar.
