Programatically, How do I Split PDF file into smaller files by size?

Use Adobe Acrobat X to split a PDF into small pdfs of a specific number of pages using AcroExch and C++.

But I need to know what is the size of each page of the pdf to split into small pdfs of a given size.

Can any help me??
