When I send a multi-page PDF to a network printer (Xerox 7346 Workcenter multi-function-device), there is a signifcant delay between delivery of pages. The documents that have the delay between pages also take a while to open. Sometimes, the delay between pages exceeds 45-50 seconds. A 25 page document can tie up the printer for quite some time. The same document opens and prints fine from a different workstation - but not always. The latest cuplrit is a 9-page 7MB file.
I've tried the following reconnecting the printer and that worked for a a day or so. I've printed the documents as images and have recongized the text - ironically, the recognized text document opens and prints with no delays. The PDF is often opened from an Outlook message and the user was urged to eliminate the Outlook "overhead" and save the PDF locally - this practice provided no improvement.
Acrobat was recently updated and performance improved but sporadically.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
