Hello everybody! I have been saddled with a project that I have put on the back burner for quite a while now, so needless to say, my chickens are coming home to roost tomorrow if I don't get it done. My question/desperate cry for help is this: Is there fast way to extract small files from one large file, rename and save them and have them all nice and neat in a folder with the same name as the original large file?
1. The small file names will be last name, first name, DOB which is Usually located on the first page on separate lines .
2. All of the small files are separated by one page that reads: NEW FILE in big bold letters.
3. Each file is approximately 16-20 pages in length with a total of about 20,000 pages total due by tomorrow morning.
4. Please help me or I am dead!
The way I have been doing it so far is scrolling through the thumbnails, finding the NEW FILE page, extract and delete up to there, save as, then manually typing in the information. Then I go back to the big file and repeat. There has to be some kind of way to let the software do all the dirty work but I just can't wrap my noob brain around it! Please save me from myself!!
