Acrobat 9.5.4 stopped working. Clicking on the program icon produces an install screen and the installation does not complete.
Clicking on an PDF file produced the following message:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Program C...
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way
Please contact the application's support team for more information
I have upgraded to 9.5.5, but get a message that the installation has failed.
I have tried to repair the installation with no success. Should I try to reinstall the program from scratch? Will my activation still work?
