Acrobat 10.1.7 Scanning Issues

I am having a problem. Using Adobe Acrobat 10.1.7, I click 'Create PDF From.." then "scanner". The regular menu pops up with custom options, I select my scanner (Xerox DocuMate 252), click scan, everything goes through the scanner, but when it shows up in Acrobat, it crashes after about a second or two. I've tried scanning with Native Menu aswell. I can use OneTouch to scan, that works fine and saves as a PDF.

Windows 7 64-bit

Adobe Acrobat 10.1.7

Xerox DocuMate 252

Anybody have any ideas? I so far have not found any information on this.
