Under OSX 10.5 and earlier, the print to Adobe PDF part of Acrobat worked fine. It was a known issue that this functionality would be lost under OSX 10.6 due to the way it was configured for security or something like that and would not play nice with the Adobe PDF printer.
Compared to the Adobe Acrobat version, the built-in Mac OS "print to PDF" option is a poor substitute in output quality ... it really irks me that I need to use my wife's Windows computer to run the Windows version Acrobat to create decent PDF output from Word documents. Seems kinda lame that Mac was supposed to be the answer to a desktop publisher's prayer, but can't even support creating decent PDF output.
Sorry for the rant, so, has there be a work-around found or update patch to restore the Adobe PDF output functionality to the mac OS?
