When acrobat x tries converting a pdf into an excel file, it tries to account for the pdf as a whole. But pdfs allow for multiple formats across pages and multiple objects within and across pages. So when acrobat slices the pdf up, it creates a ton of columns to account for the fields of different tables on different pages. So I may have 2 tables, 1 on each page, the first with 3 columns and the second with 4 columns. If the two tables aren’t perfectly aligned, which they won’t be, then acrobat will create 7 different columns for each column of the two tables. This may make data processing difficult, which is the point of transferring data into Excel.
My specific problem is that I have a BIG table that spans across multiple pages. Unfortunately, the columns of the tables don’t line up between pages AND acrobat takes into account the headers of the table on each page AND headers and footers.
