How to get the date field and change the format?

Hi, I am trying to create a concatenated field in PDF that will take the following and concatenate to create one field:

[Date_Submitted]

[Location]

The Date_Submitted is formatted mm/dd/yyyy. Whenever it concatenates, I need the data to be mmddyy. How can I change the format of that field to match what I need whenever it goes to concatenate?
