Acrobat X crashes upon closing.

I have Acrobat X 10.1.6, and just installed updates using the download option on the Adobe site, so I'm currently at version 10.1.7. Whenever I try to close Acrobat, it crashes. I thought the security update was supposed to fix this issue. I've seen a lot of traffic regarding this issue, so I was wondering is there a real solution for the problem? A real response or fix is appreciated. Thanks.
