We create our Operation Manuals as PDFs that our customers use and we also print them for the customer through a commercial printer.
These PDFs are created from multiple documents and can be hundreds of pages long in some cases.
What we have been doing is created 2 versions of the PDF. One for electronic viewing and one for the printer. The print version has blank pages inserted for layout purposes. In an effort to minimize work load we are trying to create just one version. The thought was to insert pages with a semi transparent company logo so the electronic version doesn't look like just a bunch of random blank pages to the customer, but while trying to implement it, it seems akward at best.
Is there a way to insert pages that will print but not be visible? I know you can hide a layer but that still leaves the page. There seems to be something you can do with templates, but it seems to move the template pages to the end of the document.
